Early 2011, the Indian took over the Telecom company i was working for and everything was turned up-side-down, almost all staff became unhappy,
By middle of 2012, the job was gone. >>>It was not funny at all.
But because I had started learning ICT and computer skills in 2010, when i lost my job in 2012, i decided not to look for another job, but to fine-tune my ICT skills and do something with it.
Guess what, today i am VERY HAPPY I LOST THAT JOB.
If i had continued in that job, i wouldn’t have discovered what i love doing and still make money from it and employ other Nigerians
To tell you the truth, am grateful the Indians came in, i now appreciate the fact that i LOST THAT JOB at that point in time.
Someone reading this who is probably not happy with his job or who just lost a job would be saying by now IS THIS GUY CRAZY.
That situation you are facing may be a blessing in disguise, It may be the opportunity your future has been waiting for, only if you can change your perspective and view from another angle
LEARNING A SKILL WAS WHAT MADE THE DIFFERENCE FOR ME.
And i tell people today—go learn a SKILL even if you dont need it now.
Forget your BSC, MASTER DEGREE and other paper qualifications …I cant remember where i kept mine in my house
Most big names you hear today didn’t get there because of their paper qualifications but because they found something they love and took action to gather the skills they needed and launched
Learn a skill in 2020, it could bring positive changes in your life, learn a skill in 2020–skill is more important than your paper qualification, i still repeat–learn a skill in 2020 it could make all the difference
